Austin Wilson gets more than just wrestling experience when he goes against assistant coach Bryan Snyder or four-time world champ Jordan Burroughs.
From Snyder, a four-time All-American, he also gets tests on his medical knowledge.
"He'll catch me with a forearm across the head and say, 'What’s that, a radius bone?' and 'You hurt your tibia?'” Wilson said.
“Austin will be a real doctor; we’re not sure what Snyder is,” NU head coach Mark Manning said with a laugh. Snyder has a Ph.D. in sociology. As for Wilson, Manning said, “Smart kid. Driven kid. And now he’s getting some well-deserved recognition.
