Before he flew to California to begin recruiting future Huskers, new Nebraska assistant football coach Donté Williams spent some brief time in his empty office inside Memorial Stadium.
His task: Managing his Twitter account.
Thank you, Nebraska fans.
“I know the first day I was hired, my Twitter account went from zero to like a billion, like instantly,” said Williams, who joined head coach Mike Riley’s staff on Monday, and hit the road the following day.
Williams previously had a protected account in which he individually accepted followers.
