Junior guard Hannah Whitish scored 19 points and made five three-pointers to lead the Nebraska women’s basketball team to a 71-64 victory against Northwestern on Thursday in Evanston, Illinois.
Nebraska (13-14, 8-8 Big Ten) now has wins in three of its last four games.
Nebraska led by 20 points in the fourth quarter, but then had to survive in the fourth quarter after Northwestern went on a 14-0 run to cut its deficit to 63-60 with five minutes left in the game.
Nebraska went about five minutes without scoring in the fourth quarter, between a three-pointer by Whitish with 9:27 left in the fourth quarter and another three by Whitish with 4:40 left.
