As Scott Frost’s up-tempo offense rolls into Lincoln this fall, time is a larger factor. While it is a large part of the on game preparation, time is also on everyone’s mind surrounding Nebraska gamedays.
Every week, Nebraska fans from all over the country and world tune in to hear the voice of the Huskers call NU football. Greg Sharpe is headed into his 11th season calling Husker games.
Sharpe said he puts in at least 10 hours every week memorizing statistics for games, along with players’ names from Nebraska’s opponents.
“You’re having to memorize 45 to 50 names each week,” Sharpe said, “I’m doing that right now, and trying to get ahead for upcoming games.
