Division II football standout and former NFL running back Danny Woodhead will be in the college football hall of fame. The North Platte native who was passed over by Nebraska and chose to play at Chadron State will be in the upcoming class to be inducted.
While playing for the Eagles Danny was a two time Harlan Hill Trophy winner. Which is the award for the most valuable player in Division II. He went on to a nine year career in the NFL while playing for multiple teams.
A big honor for a great Western Nebraskan. Congrats Danny!
