Webster's team victorious in first Portsmouth Invitational game

Tai Webster scored one point and pulled down six rebounds as his Portsmouth Partnership team won its first game Wednesday night at the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament.

Playing 21 minutes, Webster finished 0 for 2 from the field and 1 for 2 at the free throw line. He also had one assist and one turnover.

His team defeated a squad that included Ohio State's Marc Loving 88-57.

The Portsmouth Invitational is one of two NBA pre-draft camps. It features 64 college seniors divided into eight teams. Approximately 200 NBA representatives attend the camp, which gives the players an opportunity to showcase their skills not only in front of NBA representatives, but also scouts from professional leagues overseas.
