Webster, McVeigh Lead Huskers Past Louisiana Tech

Lincoln – Tai Webster poured in a career-high 23 points and Jack McVeigh notched a career-high 21 to lead Nebraska to a 65-54 victory over Louisiana Tech on Saturday night at Pinnacle Bank Arena.

Webster scored 17 of his 23 points in the first half, while McVeigh did the bulk of his damage in the second half, with 16 points after the break. The pair combined for 44 points on 11 of 22 from the field. Webster went 11-12 from the foul line, and McVeigh was an efficient 4-6 from 3-point range.
