Whether somebody slips a laxative into Tai Webster’s pregame meal before Nebraska’s game against No. 21 Miami on Tuesday night is strictly on a need-to-know basis, Tim Miles said.
Miles, of course, was joking, but after the Nebraska men’s basketball coach saw what Webster did while playing with, shall we say, intestinal issues, can you blame the thought?
“If it comes to that, it comes to that, I guess,” Webster joked.
Whatever got into Webster during Nebraska’s two games in New York at the Barclays Center Classic — he scored a combined 39 points, or only 17 fewer than he did all of last season — Miles, Webster and others hope it continues, minus the illness.
