Watson's game grows as Huskers reach for new heights

It's easy to overlook Glynn Watson's growth as a basketball player within the context of everything that has happened during this Nebraska basketball season.

The junior guard's offense has struggled. James Palmer Jr., Isaac Copeland and Isaiah Roby are turning into stars as the Huskers continue their charge for an NCAA Tournament berth.

But Nebraska isn't where it is today — sitting on 20 regular-season wins for the first time in 25 years and in fourth place in the Big Ten — without Watson's presence.

"It says a lot about Glynn and the kind of kid he is," Nebraska coach Tim Miles said after Watson turned in a near-flawless defensive performance against Maryalnd.
