With Halloween looming next week, Scott Frost and the Nebraska football team saw Saturday afternoon as an ideal opportunity to pull out a trick play against an unsuspecting Indiana defense.
On first-and-10 from the Nebraska 25, Vedral handed the ball to Wan'Dale Robinson, who handed it to JD Spielman. Vedral was left alone down the sideline, and Spielman hit his quarterback in stride for a 22-yard gain that also benefitted from a 15-yard late-hit penalty.
