Nebraska volleyball coach John Cook has said the Huskers are going to try to sign a great defensive specialist every few years to help the Huskers compete in the Big Ten Conference.
Sunday, the Huskers got a commitment from a player that may end up fitting that description — Megan Miller from Alexandria, Indiana.
Miller is a high school sophomore, and is the third commitment for the Huskers’ 2018 class, joining middle blocker Callie Schwarzenbach (Kearney, Missouri) and setter Nicklin Hames (Knoxville, Tennessee).
Miller is a 5-foot-6 outside hitter at Alexandria-Monroe High School, but will be a defensive specialist in college.
