John Cook’s 16 years as head volleyball coach at Nebraska have included two NCAA titles, 10 conference championships and 19 first-team All-Americans.
But Cook says a different accomplishment is at the top of the list of what he’s most proud of: NU's regular-season-match sellout streak. It’s a streak that shows the longevity of the Huskers' success, and the support for a women’s program, one that Cook’s daughter, Lauren, got to experience as a player.
Nebraska has sold out every regular-season match since midway through 2001, Cook’s second season as head coach. The streak will reach 200 Friday when the Huskers host Rutgers at the Devaney Sports Center.
