When opponents quit serving to a certain player in volleyball, it can be because she is such a consistent and good passer, and a compliment to that player. But when that happens to a player such as Nebraska’s Kenzie Maloney, it takes away part of what she can do to help the team.
That’s what happened during one of the Huskers’ recent matches against Purdue. The Boilermakers quit serving to the Husker freshman defensive specialist.
“They weren’t serving her,” Nebraska coach John Cook said. “They were serving (Justine Wong-Orantes and Annika Albrecht). They didn’t want any part of her.
