Volleyball: Kelly Hunter named 1st Team AVCA All-American

The American Volleyball Coaches Association named their 2017 All-American teams today, and four Husker players were honored.

Senior setter Kelly Hunter was named a first-team AVCA All-American (Nebraska’s 27th 1st team selection), while senior outside hitter Annika Albrecht and junior outside hitter Mikaela Foecke were named to the 2nd team. Their All-American selections brings Nebraska to a nation-leading 87 all-time picks, surely befitting this legendary program under a legendary coach, John Cook.

Senior middle blocker Birana Holman received an honorable mention.

Nebraska senior setter Kelly Hunter was named a first-team AVCA All-American on Wednesday, headlining a group of four Huskers that were recognized by the American Volleyball Coaches Association.
