Last spring, Nebraska volleyball coach John Cook said that the Huskers would be running their offense faster.
That’s what he likes to do, Cook said, and with Kelly Hunter, Nebraska would have the setter who could operate at a faster clip because she has a quick release.
Now in the 13th week of the regular season, Cook says the Huskers have run their offense slightly faster at times. Going fast is also dependent on passing well, so the offense is running smoothly.
Also, the Huskers have big, physical hitters, and it’s important to run the offense at a speed that allows those players time to take advantage of their athleticism.
