Chicago, Ill. - The Big Ten Conference announced on Tuesday that junior Megan Verceles Carr was named Big Ten Event Specialist of the Week. This is Verceles Carr's first career Big Ten weekly honor.
Verceles Carr set her career-high on balance beam on Jan. 26 with a score of 9.95. This score helped her win the first event title of her collegiate career against Michigan State. Verceles Carr also recorded a score of 9.875 on uneven bars. Her score of 9.95 on balance beam is currently tied for the 14th highest score in the country this season.
