Madi Unzicker's grand slam highlighted a six-run fourth inning as the Nebraska softball team rolled to a 9-3 win against South Dakota on Tuesday evening at Bowlin Stadium.
Junior catcher Bri Cassidy blasted a shot to left field to break a 3-3 tie in the sixth inning. Alyvia Simmons followed with a triple, and later scored on a wild pitch.
Nebraska (24-10, 2-1 Big Ten) continued to put pressure on the Coyotes (13-21) in the inning, loading the bases for Unzicker, who drove 1-1 delivery from reliever Gill Woodward over the left-field fence to push NU's lead to six.
