Maryland crushed the Nebraska women’s basketball team last season, and that’s probably putting it nicely.
The Terrapins won by 44 points, the second-worst loss by score margin in Nebraska history, and the worst in a home game.
And now one year later, unexpectedly, Maryland and Nebraska will play each other Sunday as the No. 1 and No. 2 teams in the Big Ten Conference standings. Maryland and Nebraska will play at 2 p.m. at Pinnacle Bank Arena.
Maryland (19-3, 8-1 Big Ten) at the top of the standings is expected. The 11th-ranked Terrapins have won every regular-season and conference tournament championship in the three seasons since joining the Big Ten.
