The leftover turkey will taste better in Iowa than Nebraska this weekend.
The No. 4 Hawkeyes closed out a perfect regular-season with Friday's 28-20 win over the Huskers at a cold and blustery Memorial Stadium.
Nebraska had its sights set on more late-game drama, driving inside Iowa's 20-yard with less than 7 minutes to play, but a fourth-and-1 pass from Tommy Armstrong to Brandon Reilly fell incomplete.
That drive came after the Blackshirts had forced back-to-back punts on Iowa's two previous possessions. The defense bowed up again, forcing an Iowa three-and-out after the turnover on downs.
