The school announced Tuesday that the transfer forward is no longer a member of the Husker men's basketball team, and will transfer at the end of the fall semester.
Chan left the program less than three months after joining the Huskers. He announced August 9 he was transferring to Lincoln from Mississippi Gulf Coast College.
A 6-foot-8, 210-pound sophomore with three years of eligibility remaining, Chan was likely on the outside looking in when it came to playing time this season. He didn't play in Nebraska's closed scrimmage at Iowa State, and appeared to be a bit of an insurance policy for the Huskers after the late-July transfer of center Jordy Tshimanga.
