At the end of 1994 season, a bunch of the Laughlin siblings made the drive from Omaha all the way to Miami to watch Nebraska play, and beat, the Hurricanes in the Orange Bowl to win the program's first national championship since 1971.
It was an idea hatched one year earlier, when the underdog Huskers came up short against Florida State.
There have been Laughlins at every Husker bowl game since.
This year, it's Kathleen, Coleen and Pauline who made the drive here for the Music City Bowl, continuing a family tradition that started more than 20 years ago.
