The Scene: Husker fans paint the town red

Three hours before the Final Four was to begin across the street, in the Sprint Center, fans were getting primed in the bar-laden Power & Light District.

But this wasn’t the drink line. This was the line of Husker fans waiting to turn pristine white volleyballs into colorful pieces of art.

While the fans provided the energy, the creative idea originated with Archrival, the Lincoln-based creative branding agency focused on youth marketing, and Adidas, its longtime partner and NU athletics supplier.

The 200 balls created by fans and added to a red wall will be donated to the Husker athletic department.
