Since 1963, an NFL Draft had never proceeded more than 190 picks without a player from the University of Nebraska hearing his name called.
That turned out just fine for Rex Burkhead in 2012, thank you very much.
The benchmark for longest wait moved back considerably in 2018, though, as no Husker was picked until Jacksonville selected quarterback Tanner Lee in the sixth round with the No. 203 overall pick.
Lee started one year for NU, played in all 12 games and threw 23 touchdowns against 16 interceptions along with 3,143 yards (57.5 percent completion rate).
