You can question plenty about lame-duck Nebraska football coach Mike Riley's ways of running a program.
But don't question his love of the game.
Josh Banderas never questions it.
A Lincoln Southwest graduate, Banderas led Nebraska last season with 93 tackles, 19 more than anyone. He had a nice senior year and took away fond memories of his head coach, including the way Riley approached his work.
Of course, practices can feel long late in any season, particularly with Riley running the show. Banderas tells of days when Nebraska completed its practice script, only to have Riley keep everyone on the field for more work.
