Jimmy Burrow recalls the scene with a smile.
In September of 2005, Frank Solich was in his first season as Ohio University's head coach. In his first home game with the Bobcats, they defeated Pittsburgh 16-10 in overtime on an interception returned for a touchdown.
"You needed something like that to jump-start what we were trying to do and get everybody on board," said Burrow, Ohio's defensive coordinator. "It happened sooner than we thought, and people have been great to us."
Where have 12 years gone? The 72-year-old Solich is the fourth-longest-tenured head coach in the Football Bowl Subdivision, and the longest in the Mid-American Conference.
