Considering Barrett Ruud played linebacker for eight seasons in the NFL, he knows a great offensive play-caller when he sees one.

That was the biggest thing when we were really, really good here. Everybody knew what they were getting into when they played Nebraska from a physical standpoint — from a toughness standpoint."
