If you were a Nebraska football coach, you would be thrilled by Antonio Reed's answer Saturday to a reporter's question regarding the possibility of Reed receiving a Blackshirt this week.
"I'd be excited if I get one. But it's not what I'm looking forward to," said the foremost defensive star of NU's 9-6 victory against Michigan State. "What I'm looking forward to is getting better Monday with the rest of my teammates — not just a personal achievement."
Reed, a senior safety who likely will become the defense's 14th Blackshirt recipient, made the comments almost as an aside as he wound up his session with reporters.
