Fleet running back Rahmir Johnson, the latest football recruit to give Nebraska a verbal commitment, is originally from Harlem.
Now living in Brooklyn with his mother, Angela Johnson, Rahmir says he took an immediate liking to Lincoln.
“I’m still enjoying our coaches, our players,” the 14th-year Ohio University head coach told me last week. “We’re playing pretty good football; we’re just struggling to take that extra step. We’re getting to bowl games. We’re starting to win a few. It’s just tough to get it to where you’re in the top 25 with some regularity, and get that MAC championship won.
