Luke McNitt perhaps noticed James Develin — big No. 46 — lined up Sunday as a fullback in the power-I for the New England Patriots.
A Kearney native, McNitt recorded 16 special-teams tackles in 2016 and 2017 combined. It says here he was underused on offense this season, as he carried only six times for 10 yards while catching two passes for 6 yards. More to the point, I always felt he could've been used more in the passing game — remember, he began his Husker career as a tight end after transferring from Nebraska-Kearney.
