Steven M. Sipple: Langsdorf's hands tied by run-game woes

Things I know, and things I think I know:

Nebraska offensive coordinator Danny Langsdorf seemingly does a good job of hiding his frustration. He's calm and collected after losses. Answers every question. Never, ever loses his cool.

He has to be frustrated, though. Try calling plays with an inconsistent run game. His hands were tied much of the time Saturday at Purdue.

Nebraska officially ran 29 times for 77 yards (2.7 per carry). The total included a 24-yard loss on a wayward snap. But still, the Huskers' inconsistency on the ground was surprising when you consider Purdue ranked last in the Big Ten in rush defense.
