Connie Yori has a way of getting right to the point.
But perhaps the question she was asked had an obvious answer: Does Pinnacle Bank Arena, in all its splendor, raise expectations for her Nebraska women's basketball program?
"You know what the old adage is," she said. "New arenas get coaches fired."
She chuckled. But, yes, she made sense, even if her answer was a bit extreme.
"Our administration has made a great commitment to our program, and the expectations are high," she said.
Of course, same goes for Nebraska men's basketball coach Tim Miles, although let's be clear: This isn't to say either coach is on a hot seat or anywhere remotely close to it, especially Yori.
