As Arizona Western Community College head coach Tom Minnick raved Friday about the three players his program has produced for Nebraska (so far), a fleeting thought occurred.
Perhaps first-year Nebraska head coach Scott Frost’s vision of a fast-moving program upswing isn’t overly ambitious.
Frost bolstered his 2018 recruiting class with five junior-college transfers, then added another for the class of 2019 on Friday in Arizona Western offensive lineman Desmond Bland. There are plenty of other junior-college players on Nebraska’s radar for 2019. You don’t recruit those guys to sit around and wait for a chance.
Nebraska’s 2018 schedule is ridiculous.
