Danny Langsdorf didn't mince words.
Yes, he said, Nebraska quarterback Tommy Armstrong tries to do too much at times.
He throws into double coverage. He takes unnecessary risks.
His FBS-leading 16 interceptions speak volumes.
"You've got a guy (in Armstrong) who competes and wants to win," said Langsdorf, the Husker offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach. "Sometimes, he maybe forces it a little bit instead of taking what they're giving (on defense)."
If you defend Armstrong — as I've done frequently the past two seasons — you applaud his aggressiveness and point to the dozens of big plays he's created.
