Gymnasts Chris Stephenson and Danielle Breen received top honors Sunday night at Nebraska's annual Night at the Lied event.
Stephenson, a senior, was named Nebraska's male student-athlete of the year. A team captain, Stephenson is one of the Huskers' top performers in gymnastics, while also excelling in the classroom. Stephenson is a three-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree, a four-time CGA All-America Scholar Athlete and and two-time Big Ten Distinguished Scholar.
Breen, a senior, is the third women's gymnast in five years to earn the female student-athlete of the year award. A returning second-team All-American, Breen has continued to serve as a key part on Dan Kendig's team.
