The first three words Jeff Jamrog said after he was named the new head football coach at Midland University in Fremont were “People. Trust. Opportunity.”
Jamrog a long-time assistant at Nebraska, who helped rebuild the famous NU walk-on program, was given the post Monday after a national search that drew more than 200 applicants.
“This is the right situation with the support of the administration, the commitment to building a great program and working with people who trust me and people I can trust,” said Jamrog, who played at Nebraska, coached at NU under Tom Osborne, Frank Solich and Bo Pelini.
