Who caught our eye: Tommy Armstrong's legs were great -- six rushes for 120 yards. He really is skilled at that fake option pitch. His throwing? Just OK. He was 8-of-15 for 80 yards. He had a beautiful touch pass to Sam Cotton. But speaking of the QBs as a whole, offensive coordinator Danny Langsdorf said, "We missed some throws today that I thought were easy completions."
Worth noting: Senior backup Ryker Fyfe compiled a strong statistical day while often going against the top defense. He showed some efficiency in the short pass and screen game, completing 15 of 21 passes for 127 yards.
