Liverpool, England - Emma Spence helped Team Canada to a bronze medal at the World Gymnastics Championships Tuesday afternoon.
Spence competed on vault, uneven bars and beam to help Canada to its first medal at a World Gymnastics Championship. Canada's score of 160.563 secured a bronze medal and a spot at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
The United States won for the team competition the sixth straight time, finishing with a score of 166.564. Great Britain earned a silver medal with a team score of 163.363.
Spence, who was an alternate for Team Canada at hte 2020 Tokyo Olympics, begins her sophomore season at Nebraska in January.
