The Lincoln Southwest junior hit two game-changing home runs against Papillion-La Vista in the Class A state softball championships on Oct. 13.
Squier had a breakout season for the state champion Silver Hawks, hitting .516 with 15 homers, 65 RBIs and 69 runs scored. She also stole 16 bases, provided a strong glove in center field and was named a first-team Super-Stater.
Her biggest hits of the season came on the final day of the state softball tournament. Squier hit a grand slam in helping Southwest beat Papillion-La Vista. In the deciding game for the state title, she hit a three-run shot.
