Several Huskers qualified for Saturday's finals during Friday's first day of the Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational at the Devaney Sports Center.
Luke Siedhoff had a personal record by running the 60-meter hurdles in 7.91 seconds, and Vincent Ohlman, Jasmine Barge and Makiyah Smallwood also qualified. Lakayla Harris, Deja Ingram, Whiteney Bridges and Noah Luks qualified in the 60-meter dash.
Elijah Lucy had a PR in the men's long jump at 24 feet, 11¾ inches to take second place. Shylia Riley also placed second in the women's long jump at 19-5¼, and Ieva Turke was third at 19-4¼.
