Short-handed Huskers struggle in loss to Purdue

Purdue ended a five-game losing streak with a 68-50 win against Nebraska on Sunday at Pinnacle Bank Arena.

Nebraska (17-10, 8-8) has lost four of its past five games and will probably need to make a deep run in the Big Ten Conference Tournament to not have its streak of four consecutive trips to the NCAA Tournament come to an end.

Nebraska struggled on both offense and defense while playing without its two senior starters, Rachel Theriot and Kyndal Clark, due to injuries.

Theriot, who leads the Big Ten with 7.3 assists per game, is day-to-day with an ankle injury.
