A pair of grand slams powered Wichita State to a 9-1 win Friday over Nebraska in Wichita, Kansas.
Mason O'Brien hit the first grand slam off Nebraska starter Luis Alvarado in the fourth inning to give the Shockers a 4-0 lead. With one out, Alec Bohm hit a fly ball to center that Jaxon Hallmark, battling the wind, couldn't come up with for a two-base error. After a single and a walk loaded the bases, O'Brien homered to right.
O'Brien made it 5-0 with an RBI single in the sixth, driving in Bohm again. O'Brien went 3-for-3 with five RBIs.
