Former Husker Shavon Shields will embark on his professional career beginning this weekend, as he will play in the 2016 Southwest Airlines Orlando Pro Summer League.
The 25-game, seven-day event will feature two teams from the Orlando Magic, along with the Charlotte Hornets, Dallas Mavericks, Detroit Pistons, Indiana Pacers, Los Angeles Clippers, Miami Heat, New York Knicks and Oklahoma City Thunder.
Competition runs from July 2-8, as each team will play five games in that span. Fans can watch the entire competition, as each game will be televised on NBA TV and online on ESPN3. Shields will play on the Orlando Magic’s Blue Team.
