Nebraska senior forward Shavon Shields was release from the hospital and will undergo school concussion protocol after his injury in the Huskers' 87-63 victory over Rutgers on Saturday.
Per a school statement, Shields, who was conscious on the way to the hospital, had a CT scan which was negative.
“We are relieved and thankful Shavon has been released, and that his injuries aren’t more serious," Nebraska coach Tim Miles said. "We will follow the proper protocol to get him back to full speed. I know Shavon and his family are grateful for everyone’s thoughts and prayers.”
