Nebraska coach Tim Miles said senior forward Shavon Shields, who's missed three games because of a concussion, went through some of Friday's practice and hasn't been ruled out for Saturday's game against Ohio State at Pinnacle Bank Arena.
Miles told the Journal Star that he would meet with Shields again on Saturday before making any decisions.
Nebraska (14-13, 6-8 Big Ten Conference) hosts the Buckeyes (17-10, 9-5) at 6 p.m.
Shields must be cleared by the athletic trainer, doctor "and his mom" before returning to action, Miles said.
"He would have to go through some practices to where they feel confident and he feels confident he's ready to go it.
