Indianapolis - Nebraska forward Shavon Shields was honored Sunday, as he was one of five players chosen to the all-tournament team for the 2016 Big Ten Tournament.
Shields becomes the first Husker play to earn a spot in Nebraska’s five seasons in the conference, as he averaged 19.7 points, 8.3 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.7 steals per game in helping the Huskers to multiple conference tournament wins for the first time since 2006.
Shields had a pair of 20-point efforts during the week, including his first double-double of the season (20 points, 11 rebounds) against Rutgers and had 20 points and nine rebounds in the win over sixth-seeded Wisconsin.
