Shields Leads All-Big Ten Honorees

A trio of Nebraska basketball players were honored, as the Big Ten Conference announced its 2016 awards Monday evening. Shavon Shields and Andrew White III were named All-Big Ten, while senior Benny Parker was NU’s nominee for the Big Ten Sportsmanship Award.

Shields earned All-Big Ten honors for the second time in his career, as he was a second-team All-Big Ten pick by the coaches and a third-team selection by the media. In Big Ten play, Shields averaged 16.6 points, 4.1 rebounds and 2.5 assists in Big Ten action, pacing the Huskers in scoring and assists in conference play.
