Nebraska finished off a weekend sweep of the last place Minnesota Golden Gophers with a 10-2 win on Sunday afternoon. Shay Schanaman gave up a leadoff hit and then proceeded to retire 22 of the next 23 batters for the Huskers. Luke Roskam drove in three runs for the Huskers to pace the offense.
Schanaman started the game by giving up a single to leadoff man Andrew Wilhite. Wilhite moved to third on an errant pickoff throw by Schanaman with one out. Shay got Jack Kelly to strikeout and Ronald Sweeney to pop up to keep Minnesota scoreless.
