At the same time, it’s a safe bet the former Nebraska Cornhusker basketball player was hoping for a better NBA Summer League debut than the one he had Saturday night. Playing his first game for the Orlando Blue, the former Husker forward was among the team leaders in minutes played.
Despite being one of the better players on the team, he scored just two points on 1-4 shooting. Shields also had two rebounds and two assists. In his defense, it doesn’t appear many players on the Blue had a very good night.
The Orlando Blue took on the NBA Summer League version of the Indiana Pacers and lost the game 93-66.
