Schreiber Named Finalist for Senior CLASS Award

Scott Schreiber is one of 10 baseball finalists for the 2018 Senior CLASS Award, which recognizes student-athletes who excel both on and off the diamond. The award focuses on the areas of community, classroom, character and competition.

Schreiber, a Menasha, Wis., native, elected to return for his senior season after being drafted in the 26th Round of the 2017 MLB Draft by the Tampa Bay Rays. The acronym for the Senior CLASS Award is Celebrating Loyalty and Achievement for Staying in School.

Schreiber, a two-time first-team All-Big Ten selection, leads the Husker offense in most statistical categories this season, including batting average (.
