Cody Rush bounced his right knee as he talked about his first meet of the indoor season and his last at the Devaney Sports Center track.
The senior from Grand Island, who is on track to start at the Nebraska School of Dentistry next fall, paused and took time to think about the U.S. trials for the Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.
“Oh, I’m going to dental school. I want to help people up close and personal,” he said. “But if I can get my times down in the 400, I might make the trials, and who knows.
